Merger
LASER COMPONENTS Bundles Detector Technology Activities
The LASER COMPONENTS Group is bundling its development and production activities in the detector sector: Two previously independent companies, one located in Florida (focusing on pyroelectric detectors) and the other in Arizona (focusing on avalanche photodiodes and IR detectors) are being merged both geographically and legally. The Arizona Company will merger into the Florida Company and the combined companies will conduct business in Arizona under the name of Laser Components Detector Group.
Combining these operations will promote efficiency and maximize the strengths of the two companies into a single cohesive business unit. The designs and innovations developed in Florida will help lead the combined company forward into the next decade while incorporating and continuing the heritage of quality of products and production for which the Arizona company was known. For LASER COMPONENTS, this combination ensures faster development cycles and streamlined supply chain. Standardization of the product family will produce lower research and production costs.
In the summer of 2020, Laser Components Detector Group will take possession of a new production facility in Chandler, Arizona being completed to the specifications of Laser Components Detector Group and from which the Company will continue its development and production of detectors. This new 2,400 m2 (approx. 25,800 sq. ft.) facility provides room for expansion of production and will accommodate up to 100 employees to facilitate that growth and the exciting future of Laser Components Detector Group.
